Each year in the October school holidays, the AWESOME Festival presents a spectacular array of theatre, dance, early childhood activities, music, film and hands-on activities in the Perth Cultural Centre. In 2016 the AWESOME International Arts Festival for Bright Young Things is hitting the road and heading to Merredin to inspire and delight children aged 0-12 and their families!
The AWESOME festival roadshow brings a selection of the best the festival has to offer with a variety of free and ticketed events. All events are located at the Cummins Theatre.
Bookings required for The Bookbinder performance and the Illustration Workshop. Other events do not require bookings.
Performance – The Bookbinder
From award-winning company Trick of the Light Theatre comes a story of mystery, magic and mayhem. The Bookbinder weaves shadow play, paper art, puppetry, and music into an original dark fairytale. They say you can get lost in a good book. But it’s worse to get lost in a bad one…
Performances are held at 11:30am and 1:30pm Sunday October 16th and Monday October 17th in the Cummins Theatre Auditorium.
