A Little Box Of Oblivion by Stephen Bean A woman puts a box down next to a stranger in a park, giving strict instructions before she rushes off, not to move, knock, tilt or open it. Passers-by offer suggestions as to what's inside, and what should be done with it - is it a bomb, a packet of deadly anthrax or perhaps a severed head? The Big HOO-HAA

If theatre and stand up comedy met one night in a smoky bar and after a few drinks found themselves in a compromising position in the back of a clapped out ’67 Volks Wagon, the result of this sordid tryst would be The Big HOO-HAA! The Big HOO-HAA! Is a night of comedy that will help you forget your troubles and have you laughing out loud from start to finish. In the style of “Who’s line is it anyway” and “Thank God You’re Here” The Big HOO-HAA! sees two teams of fearless comedians take the stage to do battle in a competition of wit, humour and bad mime skills in an effort to win the coveted Horse’s Arse Trophy. It’s a no holds barred race to the punch line. This is an interactive show that uses the audience suggestions to create improvised comedy sketches. The show is completely improvised therefore every performance is wonderfully unique and created just for you! This performance will be held in the Tivoli Room - so tickets are limited! Doors Open - 6:30pm Show starts - 7:00pm Ticket prices - $25 Adult, $20 Concession, $15 Students

My Robot takes audiences of all ages on a rambunctious adventure filled with robot antics, laughter, daring rescues and bewildered parents. When Ophelia moves with her family to the seaside, she’s not impressed. Spencer

Cummins Theatre is proud to present 'Spencer' byKaty Warner, the brand new Australian comedy-drama from one of Australia’s leading independent theatre companies LabKelpie that explores the fate of one gloriously dysfunctional Australian family across a weekend of love, laughs and pain. Spencer tells the story of a tight-knit family led by single-mum matriarch Marilyn (JaneClifton) and her three adult children–wayward daughter Jules (Fiona Harris), mouthy coulda-been Ben (Lyall Brooks) and AFL player and golden-boy Scott (JamiesonCaldwell). About to meet the young son–Spencer–he never knew he had, Scott and the family have returned home to help mark the occasion. With the surprise appearance of the father they barely remember (Roger Oakley), the entire family is forced to work together to clean up both the house and their own fractured relationships as the clock ticks down to Spencer’s arrival. Employing classic Australian vernacular and the penchant for humour to explore issues of self-acceptance, identity and depression, Spencer asks us to consider how much our family defines who we are, and whether we ever really grow up... Performance times: Doors open - 6:45pm Performance - 7:30pm - 90mins duration. MA 16+ - contains mild swearing.

Picasso and his dog

One fine spring morning in 1957, Lump arrived for lunch. Lump was an elongated sausage dog with floppy ears and an inquisitive nature. He looked around at Picasso’s villa and then into the deep, brown eyes of the man himself and decided he was home. From this first meeting, a deep love was forged between Picasso and Lump. He was also an inspiration for Picasso, appearing in fifty-four of the artist’s works. Lump lived with Picasso for 16 years. In a perfect ending, perhaps not content with life on earth without each other, both died in the same year. Inspired by this true story, Picasso and His Dog, is a delightful show that celebrates the animals with whom we share our lives while exploring what it is to be creative and to create. This work is a unique children’s puppet play that combines the art and story of Picasso with the extraordinary poems of Chilean poet Pablo Neruda and the text of Picasso’s contemporary and lifelong friend, Gertrude Stein. It is a refreshingly original work, wild and adventurous. Initially set in Picasso’s studio in the south of France, the story travels across time and space in a series of imaginative leaps using puppetry to transform the detailed set design as the performers play with scale, shadow puppetry, visual illusions, painting and sculpting on stage. Doors Open: 12:30pm Show: 1:00pm Duration: 1hr Ages: 4+

40 Year Old Pop Star

A great night out for the girls! After selling out shows for Perth's Fringe World ’40 Year Old Pop Star' is coming to the Cummins Theatre, starring Bruce Rock local, Alli Butler. Grab your tickets now! '40 Year Old Popstar' tells the story of a mum who leaves her job as the Sydney Opera House nurse, where she attends to the headaches and ingrown toenails of international superstars, and returns to the tiny country town where she was born to pursue a pop career of her own. Once arrived in this Wheatbelt town, which is more or less in the middle of nowhere, she acquires a few headaches of her own: like where is an audience that is not comprised of cows? How is she going to buy milk on a Sunday when all the shops are closed? Do you drink the champagne that is passed around at 11am at play group? In this one hour tour de force of original stories and songs, Alli Butler a stand-up comedian, singer-songwriter, nurse and 40 year old mum, who refuses to inject her face with Botox (this week), gives a hilarious self-portrait of her trajectory towards stardom amongst the sheep, cows and canola. Tickets can be purchased at www.trybooking.com/BIQFN or in person at the Central Wheatbelt Visitors Centre. Doors open at 7:30pm Show starts at 8:00pm Seating: General Admission Tickets $18 and include cheese and nibbles on arrival.   NO BYO drinks - Tivoli Bar open.

Comedy Gold!

COMEDY GOLD! One of the funniest touring Comedy Shows going around Australia "Comedy Gold" is back and this year  the line up is filled with Western Australia's most diverse, funniest, newest and most recognizable Stand Up Comedians. Your Feature act is none other than Peter Rowsthorn who is a  Comedy Icon and Veteran of more the 30 years on Australia's Stages and  T.V's. One of the most recognizable and much loved comedians Rowsthorn is a high energy, fast paced stand up comedian one minute and a measured character actor the next. Most recently, Peter has appeared regularly on "Thank God You're Here" series 1, 2, 3 and 4, popped up on "Talkin’ ‘Bout Your Generation" and can currently be seen hosting the delightful “Can We Help” on the ABC on Friday nights. But Peter is probably still best known as long-suffering husband and pants-man Brett Craig on “Kath & Kim”. Your M.C Cameron McLaren is a giant of the perth comedy scene and was awarded "Best Comedy at the WA Fringeworld .  Cameron has sold out Fringe shows across the country and was handpicked by the producer of Channel 7 to be the audience MC of Telethon. The West Australian described him in this role as "There is a genuine sense of fun in his delivery…this proves infectious."  Cameron is fun and loveable but can flirt with the line if the occasion requires. The audience are instantly put at ease with his silliness and you can tell he truly loves what he does." First up is new kid on the block Frankie who is on her first comedy tour. A newbie to Stand Up Comedy she is on work experience for this tour but don't be fooled she has a bright future ahead of her. Frankie has great stage presence…
