Set in 1946, the joyful and acclaimed musical The Sunshine Club, tells the story of Aboriginal soldier Frank Doyle, who is just returning home to Brisbane after serving in WW2, to find that, while the world may have changed, the same attitudes and prejudices still exist at home. But this only fills Frank with a strong desire to change things for the better by setting up The Sunshine Club.

Join us at Cummins Theatre on Wednesday, 8 November for this energetic, thought provoking and entertaining night of theatre!

Who are Gina Williams and Guy Ghouse?

Gina Williams AM is a proud Balladong (Noongar, South West) woman, with links through her grandmother’s line to the Gitja people of the East Kimberley. She is an award-winning singer-songwriter and journalist, who has spent the past three decades committed to sharing stories and writing songs for her community with collaborator and best friend, Guy Ghouse.

Meanwhile, Guy Ghouse has a musical pedigree that dates back to the 1920s in Malaysia and there are few guitarists who connect to their music and perform without compromise like Guy Ghouse. Guy’s journey has taken him all over the world, with performances at Edinburgh Festival (Scotland), Ronnie Scotts Jazz Club (UK), BBC (UK), Hard Rock Cafe (UK & Indonesia), Los Angeles California, Texas, the Netherlands and Spain.
